Have a new Canon T7I which of course came with a Canon strap. Do most just use the one that came with the camera....or buy one of their own. If so....which is a good/wide/comfortable to wear? (some are proud of their camera and love to have that name displayed)

I dumped the Nikon strap; I dropped a camera once using it. I have a sling strap now; it's much safer. It hooks on the bottom of the camera and loops over your shoulder and drops down to your waist. It has safety hook to make sure the camera is always attached. It allows you to hold the camera much easier to take shots. They do not cost much on Amazon and fit any camera with a bottom screw hole.

I use a strap made by Pacsafe. It has a stainless wire running through it to discourage strap-cutting thieves. Quite comfortable.

Op/Tech straps are very comfortable as well as inexpensive. Low profile. Available from their website, Amazon and many major retailers. Recommended.

I won't use a manufacturer's strap that advertises.
I have a 25+year old wide "denim" strap that clips onto "D" rings that I used on my old film cameras.

Op/Tech provides a system of straps. I can interchange a wide shoulder pad for a narrow one depending on the day's mission. I can also replace the primary strap with a wrist strap if the mood suits me.

I have a drawer full of unused Canon and Nikon straps. I use Op Tech with quick disconnect.

I've always used the strap that came with my camera; it does the job of attaching the camera to my body.

Never. First they are really bad straps, and why advertise you've got a $3000 camera slung around your neck?

I use the Op/Tech harness. It takes the weight off my neck and distributes it across the shoulders and back. It also connects to the strap lugs, not the tripod socket.

Ive used this to hold my DSLR while riding my motorcycle. It keeps the camera quick to access and doesn't let it swing around.

As long as Canon does not pay me to advertise their name blazened on the strap, I see no reason to hang a heavy camera around my neck. I use an Op Tech sling. Much more comfortable

I have a BlackRapid Sling type that goes over the shoulder and fastens to the tripod socket. I use it for my Sony aR7ii and the 24mm-240mm FE Sony lens. For the Sony a6000, I use a Peak Design -SlideLITE strap. It has an anchor link connection system to attach and detach easily. Very happy with both!

I put Canon straps on my Nikons as theft deterrents.
