Hi Folks, I'm really going back in time now to a shot I took way back in May 2011. This is a panorama of three images stitched together from my toy Sony H9 point and shoot camera so quality isn't that great. I left the people in to give an idea of scale.

Not too shabby, James ... leaving the people in the shot certainly does offer perspective and context

Believe it or not this crator is 1-mile accross. Hard to imagine something that large.

Great shot that gives a good sense of scale, with the addition of folks in the image. On my bucket list!

Thanks again everyone...great comments. It is a big ole hole...I recommend seeing it in person if you ever get the chance. There is a visitor center with refreshments and other displays all within walking distance.

Very nice shot. Just glad you were not there when the crater was created.

You cannot appreciate how impressive and vast this meteor crater is until you see it in person and realize that something so small made something so enormous.

What's hard to appreciate is that a meteor of only a 150' in diameter had a mass of ~150,000 Tons, now that's heavy
