Check out the lenticular clouds in the second photo! It was so windy you could not stand to take a photo. A tripod would have blown over.
I sat & held the camera between my knees to hold the camera still!
This was the most we ever saw of Fitz Roy. Unfortunately, the big hike had a lot more clouds. The first photo shows the town.
Photolady2014,
Your Fitz Roy series of images is marvelous, loaded with impact and palpable depth, and beautiful.
And besides that, I love ‘em all!
Your use, when possible, of foreground detail, usually low vegetation, has been very eff3ctive.
The one lacking foreground detail, of course (I am assuming) the aerial view...or you were on an even higher pinnacle !
The image of the lenticular/discoid/saucer clouds shows a complexity in formation of an aggregate mass that I’ve never seen before. Fascinating.
Thanks for posting these. Absolutely inspirational !
I could not be more impressed with the entire series.

This scenery is so spectacular, it's hard to believe it's real. You need to frame and hang every one.
