I'll watch closer. I saw a lot of Buckeyes at the coast and never see them inland. Maybe I'll figure out where these guys hang out. In late February my sister and I are going to Gainesville to the University of Florida butterfly garden. Bet I'll see them there!

Wonderful captures, Corky, and what a beautiful butterfly!! Hope you get many more this summer!!

Many thanks, Angela and also for the smiley face and thumps! Hope you are feeling much better and take care of yourself--we almost lost a local TV news reporter with complications from the flu, and the only thing that saved her was that the station checked on her when she did not show up for work!

I'm very fond of these butterflies and don't seem to see quite as many of them as some other species, so was very happy to capture these. I also have a few images with their wings completely closed, but I don't think they are quite as attractive in that position. All images were taken on July 22nd of last year around six pm!

A fine display of the Red Admiral, Swamp-Cork. I'm looking forward to photographing them in March when Butterflies Are Blooming is featured at Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids.

Corky, I'm feeling much better, thank you, just a little sniffle... horrible what's going on with this flu, so many deaths reported and people in the hospital. I worry for my daughter inlaw, she works at the hospital, but thankfully she doesn't deal with patients. Thank goodness for your local reporter that she was reached in time. Take care!!

Corky, I love the photos and this is the first time I have ever seen one of these Butterflies.

I will keep my eyes looking for them come Spring Summer.

Many thanks for taking a look and the thumbs, Greg. I don't see them nearly as often as the swallowtails or ladies but they do stop by from time to time. Always great to hear from you and take care!
