I have three Lenspens, I am sure none of them is genuine but they all do a good job, especially the brushes.
OK: today I ordered a "Lenspen" on eBay for .83 delivered. I also went up to that Big Store on 34th Street here in Manhattanand bought one for $10.00. The expensive one seems to work fine. I will look forward to comparing it to the .83 when that one arrives.
The person is explaining how you can load carbon dust -the cleaning agent in the Lenspen -,on a fake one that had no cleaning agent loaded. The video is the ilustratzia of how you do it. The fake cost $2 the real on $10. That is the motivation for the video
The Lenspen website has contact info so they can help you determine if you have a counterfeit. I guess it is a real issue for them.

I tried a couple fake from China, and the cleaning pad fell off on all of them.
Recommend that you stay away from them.
I tried one, and it worked fine.
