Eisenhower was the last good Republican president. He understand America could not go backward, he may not have like it, but forward America goes. At first he was not doing so good, as the years had go by he grow in the office of the president. A lot of things came about during his years as president which are still going today. Civil Rights got restarted and would grow. The highway system in this country change America forever and still is.
Yes, John F I to could have v**e for Eisenhower without compromise my values.

It seems evident to me that the Republican Party has changed in major ways. There was a time that the Rs recognized the same problems as did the Ds; it was just a different way of fixing those problems. I have always been a Democrat, but I could v**e for Eisenhower and not comprimise my values.

This is how I feel also, John. Tunnel vision limits choices and tends to prevent thought processes that fuel the better avenue. Historically our presidents have been judged on their merits first and then on affiliation but Trump, if I’m not mistaken, is the first president in history to be openly shunned by the U.K., this will be his legacy and it isn’t limited to the British. We have friends in the Netherlands who still find it hard to belive that he made it into office.

It’s sad that our country would rather have a self-serving bufoon in office than “a b***h”. Not my words mind you but it is a direct quote from several people that my son in law works with.

Hopefully he will disappear before he provokes North Korea into launching anything, this will not end wellnfor anyone...

Yes - R is for revers and D for drive "BUT" you do have the steering wheel to change the direction you are going.

You got it all wrong you put it in D for d**g and when you get up to about 80 you put it in R for race.

This is what I miss about California Harvey. People who think. That and trees and, oh yeah, that little thing called the Pacific Ocean.

You remind of a friend Hal. He had a 1968 Firebird with punched out 400 and a nitrous oxide bottle. One evening a guy on a Sacramento freeway wanted to race. Somewhere between 60 and 70 mph the nitrous was engaged and one Pontiac t***smission exploded all over the road. Too much fun. :)

Where is the rest of the world headed, and why should I want to follow? That’s not what my forefathers fought and died for....maybe you should go hang with the rest of the world, where you’d be happy.

Then don’t follow but I am absolutely certain thar our forefathers would turn in their grave if they could see what Frump is doing to this country. A vast majority of Europe thinks we we are i***ts for electing carrot top and smart republicans are distancing themselves from the “genius” faster than lemmings heading for the sea.

Wh**ever, he fooled many people and nothing will change your mind because after all, it’s just f**e reality.

They’re absolutely turning....back right side-up after being devastated by the “fundamental change” president.

Can you show me where you found your data about the vast majority of Europeans that thinks we’re i***ts? Or are you just making that statement for effect, with no real clue what the “vast majority” of Europeans think?

Sooner or later, you need both. D puts the engine in gear- but does not choose in which direction on the road.

However, all the biggest most catastrophic accidents happen in "D", usually, if not too bad, requiring "R" to back out of it or someone else to pull everything in reverse to begin fixing it

Funny, only the one can't accept this.

No I can’t but this observation comes from people who live in European countries. It’s a general concensus but you don’t want to believe it because your belief system tell you that the sexist bigot is actually good for this country.

Let’s us the U.K. as an example and feel free to check it, I didn’t make this up either. Parliament decided some time ago that Trump would not be welcome, do you think that decision was some kinf of fluke?

At the end of the day it will not matter to you, wh**ever I say will fall on deaf ears regardless. Consider yourself lucky that your narrow minded bulls**t has kept my attention this long...
