You guy's are really cruel, I'm a disabled amateur astronomer /handicapped and I'm glad you had a laugh . I can say that I can do astrophotography all myself with conversing with a very good friend and a ret. veitnam vet Marine in WY that has shown me the way to do astrophotography even with my handicaps . I hope y'all feel real big now {you know who you are} , I've lived with cognitive and physical handicaps since I was 9 years old , "EVERYDAY" is a blessing and a learning experience. So , think before you type ! What if it was you that was disabled?

Hey, Stepping, I haven't noticed any cruelty toward you (and do not imagine any was intended). Do you realize your post was so far from understandable by photographers in this discussion group that sat least several of bus thought the post was a "leg puller" (as if intended to spoof our technical discussions, for example). It sounds like you are very involved in astrophotography and I bet if you showed some work here you would get admiring responses. Happy New Year.

I am sorry and I don't know exactly what kind of equipment you're talking about but I see that you have the problem with stiction. As far as I know stiction can be caused by perfect mating surfaces. Your question is valid unlike a bunch of questions on which cameras I should buy.

Thank you and Happy 2018 to you , My NORCO must have been kicking in . I posted to astronomical section , at least that is what I thought. I do a lot of image posting to the astronomical section and Birding to wildlife, those folks understand me and offer great advice if I ask for help in my Wildlife and astophotography. Leg pullers , should at least wait a couple more months before typing a crack post. I was just making people aware that we are all here to have fun but, not at a disabled persons expense. Yall would understand if the shoe was on the other foot, just a lil' food for thought for everyone.

It would be wrong for people to make fun of you because of your disability, but that isn't what happened. You did make the mistake of posting in General Photography instead of Astrophotography, where people knew you and what you were talking about. It just struck some people as funny to read a highly technical question that they had no idea the meaning of. It had nothing to do with your being disabled, which they had no way of knowing.

Sir, the internet is a harsh crucible, but I did not perceive any of the responses that were intentionally mean or intended to be at a disabled person's expense. The responsibility for communication is a two sided thing, sometimes called a double edged sword, that cuts both ways.

That means providing a context, and posting in the right place. When people do not understand something said out of context, then they respond to what they comprehend. It isn't necessarily mean or unsympathetic. It is a shared responsibility to try and get things right. Sometimes people respond to unclear posts with various types of humor. That is not necessarily mean. If we do not understand your circumstances, then how do we take account of that?

I wish you well, but please also cut us a little slack, and take a little more effort to posit your questions in a way that we may be better able to comprehend.
