PINK Cameras ? ... There seems to be a recent trend to revert back to colored cameras ... would you buy such a camera?

I'm not a fan of pink, but I certainly wouldn't mind some other colored camera. Visually, black cameras are kind of boring.
Plenty of red ones, around ... Nikon D5000 series (except D5600) and D3000 series ...
Pentax has made cams in every color under the sun, in the past ... you could get the K-50 in about 60 colors ...
Their K-S1 was even offered in texture variations - blue denim, included ....
CanonUSA offers its beginner cams - T5, T6 - in red - but you can only purchase them direct from them ....
There are others, too ... look around ... Google "colored DSLRs" - see what you get, Rook ....

I know it wouldn't make a difference in skill, but do think anyone with a pink dslr would be taking seriously?
A guy wouldn't ... he'd be laughed at, most probably ...
But a gal with a pink Nikon 1 J1 - might very well be respected ...
DDD ... the real deal here is the product ... not necessarily the color of the hardware you use to produce ....

I know there was a red colored option for D5500 at the time of purchase last year, but not for me :-) I think it would be interesting to see some sale stats, black vs red...

Paulie ... the only stat that matters is that Nikon still sells them ... if they weren't selling - they'd be withdrawn ....
Pentax no longer sells colored cameras ... but, I'm not sure that's a reflection on colors, so much as an overall drop in sales ...
If you'd like to see pics of either my red D5300 or my red Pentax K-50 - look at the Topic Post entitled -
Which camera brand do you think - provides the warmest colors?

I don't have the knowledge or experience to answer your question. I got nothing to compare.
Come on all you guys...think pink! Just imagine, it all this MACHO heavy duty gear was issued in
PINK!
The red unit in my other post is a digital Hasselblad.

I don't think it would faze me in the least to have to use a pink Strobe ... or even a pink tripod ...
But, I'd draw the line at a pink camera (but, NOT - a red one) EL ....
There was a question about the make of the red camera on the montage I posted in this thread. I don't know which Hasdelblad model it is. Way above my pay grade.😀
Sorry for the confusion.

Pentax is also now calling themselves a "premium brand" and they may feel toy-like colors conflict with this new goal - but they have "silver" variants of their new K-70 and KP models {look sort of like cameras they were selling thirty years ago}.

Yes, EL ... twas I who asked about the red camera at the bottom left of your montage ... that's one helluva good looking camera, and is why I asked!!!
Where did you find that montage?
If I go to the source - perhaps I can find the model number ....
