ChrisT is different than the name Christian. Sorry.

Yes, you are sorry. Do some research on any name involving the nickname Chris (Christian, Christine, Christopher, Christina...). And then read your Bible some more: John 8:7, Romans 14:1, Acts 10:28, Exodus 14:14 and especially Matthew 7:1. And then take a serious look at Deuteronomy 18:20.

You do know there is a Christian photography section here. Spend your time there among like-minded souls and don't impose your misguided beliefs and (limited) view of the world on others.

And, finally, pray with your minister / pastor / preacher, pondering why someone who uses their first name and the first letter of their last name finds it difficult to believe someone else could do the same.

Despite your name, no one but your parents gave you a crown to wear.

I know nothing of this guy Chris T that a lot of people seem very intolerant of. It appears he has mentioned his Christian beliefs. You indicated that his beliefs are "misguided". In what way?

My post was not directed at Chris_T, it was in response to SteveR's continued lament that Chris_T violated the 3rd Commandment by originally appearing here as ChrisT (not to mention his clear p***e in having Admin force ChrisT to change his name to Chris_T - perhaps he should refresh himself on what the Lord says about p***e...). I suggested in a reply that perhaps Christian tolerance would be to give ChrisT the benefit of the doubt, also noting that many Hispanics (not so many WASPs or African Americans for some reason) name their children Jesus and I doubted seriously that they considered themselves blasphemous. I also noted that SteveR did the same thing - first name with first initial of the last name. At which point, SteveR persisted.

I am no great fan of Chris_T, but to assume that he was being blasphemous by the choice of his name here indicates unthinking dogmatism, i.e., misguided beliefs, which could perhaps benefit from a guided prayer session.

I think I will leave this alone. Too much animosity for me.

Maybe Steve should have people change their names so as not to offend.

Konrad H. Christ (1833–1933), historical botanist
Victor Christ-Janer (1915–2008), American architect
Carol T. Christ (born 1944), American academic and administrator

Perhaps it is the concept of Christ he has a problem with.
