If you were born a Hindi, you would swear that Krishna is the one and only god. If you were born in a Muslim family you would swear on Allah.

Do you not know people of other faith?

Those fanatics think YOUR god is not real.

If there IS a God.....there can't be gods. There can only be imitators of the True God.

As far as whether My God is real, I don't believe merely because of what the Bible says, but also because of God Himself, the Holy Spirit, working in me to help me to know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. Ephesians 2:9-10 also says that God saves us to work through us. I have seen this.....at times that I have least expected it.

Those other gods can’t be imitations since they are much much older than Christianity. In fact the story of Jesus is a copy of a story.

Also, what if you met a person or many people, who had the same experiences as you but through Krishna or Mohammed?

How do you explain that?

But God precedes them all. If you've read the Old Testament, one of the striking things is God's anger with false religions. Copy of a story? I've heard about that, but it's not, despite the similarities. I'd have to study it more. The blood sacrifice of Christ on the Cross is a fulfillment of all the blood sacrifices of the Old Testament. God established those sacrifices with the knowledge of Christ's sacrifice that would take place in the future. Read Leviticus. Not un-coincidentally, the Jewish sacrifices ceased shortly after the Cross.

God’s anger? You are describing a human being with an ego. Not even you in 2017 can comprehend love. How would you expect an uneducated person 2000 years ago to understand love.

Reality is that if there indeed was a creator (but who created god) this god is impersonal. Not because god doesn’t care, but because god is love and love doesn’t judge, doesn’t have an ego. When you describe a judgemental god, who will make all non believers burn in hell for eternity, you are describing a psychopath. Not a loving god. If you had a child, would you make your child burn in fire for eternity? Just because he or she couldn’t except fairy tales as facts? Would you?

Well at least there is something we can agree on.

Home sweet Range View. I found the sign at a flea market, as I walked into another vendor's display she quipped ... "It's the Man From Range View!"

Have you read everything about Hell? It talks about burning and yet there is darkness. Even though Jesus talks about Hell as a Furnace, do you really think the He and the rest of the Bible are talking about the burning of the physical body or the burning in the soul? God is not going to hold fire to your feet for eternity. However, all men will see God in judgment, but the unsaved will then be cast away from Him for eternity. That will be Hell. That's darkness. That will cause burning of the soul. To see God and then be cast away from Him. Revelations 23 says that the unsaved will be judged according to their works, even while being cast away from Him.

People refer to the Bible as the word of God. But it was man that said that. Man wrote it and claimed it was the word of God. In 12 years of Christian education I don't recall one instance when Jesus told people to read His Father's book.

I am probably an agnostic. I believe that every religion practiced today is man made, not created through the love of a Supreme Being. However, our man made Constitution guarantees free speech and freedom of religion. It does not guarantee freedom from religion.

Scripture itself speaks of how God inspired man to write it.

“God so loved men that he sent his only begotten son” or something like that. So which is it? Does god love men or is he going to torment all those souls for ever?

You are worshiping a monster, but thank god it is not real, so all is good.

Btw, if you have a conscience, you’d know that the suffering of the soul is much worse than the body.

But it was man/men that wrote that scripture and said God inspired them. That's why it is a belief without a bit of proof.
