That reminds me of what I was once told: All fishermen are liars, except you and me. But I'm having some doubts about you. :-)

Did anyone else on this forum get a large Nikon USA Black Friday Sale centerfold in their WSJ today? Seems unlikely that Nikon would try to appeal to all the Wall Street Journal subscribers. Do they have some means of targeting those of us with an interest? if so, where do they get that information? Maybe I'm just kind of paranoid.

LoL, you've never noticed that ifcyou type in the work "guns", youbget gun add pop-ups until you type in another key word?
Google knows every word you type, and simply sells your name to both the WSJ and Nikon.
Your internet provider knows everything too, and we ALL know, so does the FBI and hopefully THEYRE not selling list!!!

I guess that explains the circulars I've been getting from Glock, Porsche and Cessna. Damn, those surveys! They don't seem to know yet that I'm just an old man who still shoots with an Argus C3 when he can afford film. 😉

They might think WSJ readers tend to have more money than readers of other publications.

I believe you are right. The person who reads The Daily News and The Post vs those who read the WSJ have different levels of interests and expectations. Also different levels of disposable income.

I want to be a professional tourist. I’ll use a Nikon D850 all over the world if they want to give me one!
Probably Cheaper than a WSJ ad!

Whatever you do, don't type in Argus C3....., you'll start to get pop-ups for all kinds of explosives!!!
Oops, see, there's MY first one now, "get plastic explosives at Walmart, on sale"!!!

I did. Not quite sure what to think. I usually go fishing on Black Friday. Everyone else is in the malls...

I shop from home. Food is just about the only exception.

"if so, where do they get that information?"

Sorry to burst your bubble but your information along with all of ours is readily available and floating around cyberspace for anyone who would like to find you. Just ask the Russians and Google advertising.

How much longer do you think we will blame the Russians for all of our problems??
