My kid spent a week there last January and loved it. Try the hot dogs, he likes them better then Chicago dogs. 😏

Congrats, just got back from there this week, prepare for some cold rain/snowy windy weather. We saw very little northern lights thanks to clouds, blue lagoon was sleeting and 70 mph winds, the golden circle tour was great, people friendly. Very expensive food and drink, all in all we had great time, take tripod and wide lens for lights, forgo the boat tour for lights, motion of boat and vibration of engines make use of tripod hard, check out flea market in town on weekend, very interesting meat market.

Have fun. I saw a one hour CNN TV special when Bill Weir, "The Wonder List" traveled to Iceland last year. Beautiful landscapes, clear clean water. And the people who live there are friendly. Bill Weir says they are a world caught between two worlds.

I’ve been to Iceland on business with only a so so camera at the time. You’ll find that almost anyplace you point your camera there the photos will be great, even with my so so camera. I would go back in a heart beat...
