I arrived at the Nubble lighthouse before sunrise and used my flashlight to make my way down the rocks toward the shore. There were two more photographers already down there and setup. The clouds were fairly heavy but the early light came through to offer pretty good images. This is one of the early shots.

Great early morning shot! Is that another lighthouse in the far distant on the very right hand side of your shot about half way up in the frame? What time is sunrise there when you took this shot? The clouds sure help to make an outstanding image.

There was another light out on the right side but not sure if it was a lighthouse or not. I came down from Portland where I shot the Portland Head Light but this was about an hour south of that in York, ME. I must of arrived at the Nubble before 6 AM as it was still pretty dark.

I generally use LR to do as much as I can, then use various other tools I have. I don't recall exactly but on this image I did use Topaz Studio that has a pre-set that applies a painted effect. I used this then decreased the opacity of the effect by quite a bit as it is too strong. I usually do a few other tweaks after that to finish.
