I have to say that I have been pleased with Picasa - very simple, but lots of options. However, it does not allow for removing larger areas from photos. For instance, it is alright for removing telephone wires or small objects, but anything with mass like close distance telephone poles, signs, etc. does not work at all. That is where I get creative with cropping when I can or composing it in such a way that it is part of the picture. Those are ok for Facebook, but not my portfolio.

Welcome! I believe you have great photo ops in Vermont, I hope you share your efforts at capturing them.

Welcome to UHH Cata, glad you joined us. I also used to use Picasa and liked it. Updated computers and it did not make it from the old to the new one. LR and PS but have learning curves. I use LR but have not gotten into PS yet.
