I have no patience for anyone who doesn't have the common sense of a knatt when it comes to building and construction safety.

I've seen too many mistakes made in construction or renovations over the years to become complacent.

I don't know about you, but I prefer to live in a home that was built or renovated by licenced builders, not by unsk**led workers.

Buildings that have sustained severe storm damage come with their own hidden dangers.

My aunt had a huge bull pine hit by a dry lightning strike. The tree was close to 4 feet in diameter, and stood about two feet from the rear of her cottage. The strike sent branches through the roof in several places. The electric supply was torn off the side of the house away from the tree. The upper portion of the trunk was sent in the opposite direction.

There was damage to three of the roof rafters about 5 feet from the end of the cottage, and the end of the cottage also sustained some damage. The repairs were done by a handyman with no structural engineering background. He sistered just two foot sections of those rafters, when the entire rafter should have been sistered. This is in a heavy snow belt area, where structural integrity is important in a building that carries a heavy snow load in the winter.

A simple no would have sufficed...taken up a lot less space as well!

Watch and see. You don't give your fellow Americans much credit. I believe in the American spirit...we can do anything we say we can. On the other hand, if we insist we can't, than we won't.

That right there is the difference between our two parties broken down to the most basic ideals.

Yep, you are definitely just another TURD that worked at the government trough for so long that you are completely out of touch with reality.
It's not about WANT and SPIRIT, and what YOU THINK!!! This is not Tramp, it's real!!
Go ahead and let the "will work for food " people rebuild your house.
And you worked in the construction trades how long???
How long did you push a pencil?
Do you think one of the "will work for food", people standing on a corner could have come in and done YOUR job??? Be honest?! And we're talking basic residential not complex commercial work!
There's a reason why those sk**led jobs are being done by an illegal.
1, They don't need a college education to do it.
2, They can be an illegal and do the job!
How long did you go to college to learn to push a pencil? You DID go to college..., right??
The average trade takes a minimum of a 5 year apprenticeship to become a journeyman. That's like getting a BA degree in carpentry. A five year guy doesn't know all that much, but can at least work on their own. That's like someone stepping in and doing a job you did for 20 years being straight out of school.
Going to church and praying will NOT get that work done, especially with no one with sk**ls to do it!
Maybe you can go be a cheerleader, they have SPIRIT!!!

You hit the nail right on the head. I’ve got just shy of 11 months under my belt with the government.

All of these gains are due to long term trends in various economic sectors. None are due to recent legislative or executive policy measures. In a current report there are unfilled jobs owing to accelerating baby boomer retirements. The hitch is too few of the younger set have the recqusite sk**l sets. Be careful of whom you credit, your investment portfolio depends on it.

Now that's just not true.

Prior to the e******n, as Trumps polls spiraled downward, so did the stock market. Evidently investment markets did not view Clintons economic policies favorably. Immediately after the e******n there was the Trump bounce. Now have his policies caused it to go up further? It would appear that they have not cause a substantial drop-off.
