Do not have Sirui monopod but do use their tilt head to handle a 300 2.8 lens.

Looks good reasonably priced I’ve been looking at getting a Manfrotto but I’ll give this one a second look.

Has anyone had experience with Sirui monopods? I'm looking at getting a carbon fiber monopod and I am seeing some by this company that look interesting. I don't recall hearing about this company before so I'm hoping someone on UHH has some experience with their carbon fiber monopods.

I have owned a Sirui 204S for about three years and consider it to be brilliant. Though not carbon fibre it is still lightweight (I walk up to 15 miles a day with it). The 204S is a hybrid, as it has three foldaway legs making it very stable. I have posted an image or two on this forum showing my 204S, with my Nikon D500 and a Nikkor 300mm f4 PF VR, standing unaided to demonstrate it's stability. Obviously, it may be used as a monopod with the legs folded up. It may also be shortened, if required. The 204S is quite expensive but beautifully constructed. It comes with a really tasty shoulder bag and even the packaging is first rate. I would strongly suggest you take a look at it on You Tube as it is, in my opinion, a better buy than a straighforward monopod.

I own the Sirui EP-224S Carbon Fiber Multi-Function Photo/Video Monopod and the Sirui L-20S 2-Way Pan/Tilt Head. They are wonderful. Very sturdy, convenient, efficient, easy to handle. I also have a Sirui HC70 Humidity Control Cabinet.

If you don't like what you see at the photography store when it comes to monopods, take a trip by your local hunting store. Shooting sticks make great monopods with the addition of a head for your camera. Mine is carbon fiber, extends to almost 6 feet, and is very reliable. Just a thought.

The P 204S has the three fold out feet. Which makes this awesome for my 150-600 lens.
