Has anyone had experience with Sirui monopods? I'm looking at getting a carbon fiber monopod and I am seeing some by this company that look interesting. I don't recall hearing about this company before so I'm hoping someone on UHH has some experience with their carbon fiber monopods.

can't help you with the monopod, but I have a Sirui CF tripod I use to travel with. Built soldid and no issues.

Thanks. I just haven't heard of this brand before and was wondering what experience others had with it.

They make great products. I currently have a mono-pod (P-204-C), tripod leveling head, and a tilt head for use on tripod and mono-pod.

I have had the Sirui P-326 carbon fiber monopod for three or four years now. I have used it a fair amount at air shows and for wildlife. This is with a 70-200mm f2.8 Nikon lens and a D90 & the newer D500. I am quite pleased with it and have no complaints. I bought it through Amazon.

I have the Sirui N2204X Tripod. One leg detaches to form a monopod, which I have used with great success several times. https://youtu.be/ZOevriaMTxQ

Thanks for the update. I have a carbon fiber tripod but I want a monopod for when I can't really use the tripod. I've been looking through what B&H has and saw several Sirui monopods listed. They were priced like top of the line products on most of them and I was just wondering what people had to say about the brand.

Do not have Sirui monopod but do use their tilt head to handle a 300 2.8 lens.

I have an older sirui monopod similar the Sirui P-326S Carbon Fiber Photo/Video Monopod and do love it. They do make excellent products. I would not hesitate in buying their products. Just make sure you get the right one for your intended use.

I have used Sirui tripods, ball heads, and monopod heads for several years. They make one of the smallest/lightest travel tripods. I use the L-20 head, which has a panning base as well as tilt head. Their warranty and customer service is very good; I had an issue with one of my tripods and they sent a replacement part without question.

I'm sure their monopods are also very good. I don't have one because I did not see any models that satisfied my requirements; I have Manfrotto, Gitzo, and Benro monopods. The Gitzo is very small and light, and can take the RRS mini head. The Benro is large and light, and has a foot so it will stand on its own (I use it for a second flash when I need some back lighting while shooting events). I can say that Gitzo and Benro have excellent customer service as well. Manfrotto is a bit more difficult, but they have parts for nearly everything.

I have one and I like it a lot. I cannot offer, though, a comparison to other products. I selected it for its length because I needed the camera at eye level. Then I perused reviews and selected the carbon model for weight and lack of resonant vibration.

I'm very satisfied.

I've had the P-236 monopod for four years and a Sirui CF tripod. They're both very good products and have had no issues with either. The most challenging thing is the actual pronunciation of Sirui!
