You have received good advise here...R.G. is a master of the HSL sliders and I am still learning from him with those sliders..I tend to be a bit too heavy handed using them and have probably done the same here but could not resist playing Heather...really nothing I can add to R.G.'s wisdom here.

Thanks Frank. At least you tried. That is what I like about this section, members sharing information and helping out.

Yes, I am grateful to R.G. He has pointed me in the right direction and not forgetting the other members too.

Thanks Cliff. What a good tip! You are right regarding the vignette, but I couldn't get the slider to "do as it was told". Yes, I am blaming my tools, so back to the drawing board. Much obliged. H

The vignette controls in Lightroom, as you've found out don't work subtly for this kind of shot. Here's a tip for you - download the Nik plug ins for Lightroom - they're free. Using only the Darken/Lighten filter you can acheive a very effective and very subtle guidance of the eye to your subject. Sometimes it becomes so subtle and undetectable that I have to use the before/after button in order to determine if anything has actually changed. It's an extremely useful filter.
