Yes Coco, the Memorial is close. It is in honor of the 76 county residents who were killed in Vietnam. I'm there frequently to pay my resplects to those who paid the extreem sacrifice including two MIAs.

I do plan on trying to get the effect you suggested but it will have to be either in the fall or early spring when the sun lines up with the Memorial better than the early summer.

But that's the nice thing about layers. You can tone it down until it is as subtle as you want.

After looking at your avitar picture & Memorial picture i am wondering if your were at dog handler in Vietnam.
Scout dog or sentry dog, if so when & what unit.

Yes indeed I was a dog handler in Vietnam. Boots on the ground in 1965 in a operation called Project Top Dog that took the first teams to Vietnam in 1965. Stationed at Da Nang air base. Branch of service was the Air Force as a Sentry Dog Handler. The dog pictured is Dutch E955. He was my second of three dogs I handled during my four years in the AF.

My duty was nothing compared to you Scout Dog handlers. My late brother-in-law was a Combat Tracker for damn near three tours, 1966 - 68. Died of AO related cancer.
