If not Windows than I could transition to a Mac but then I'd have to repurchase all my apps

Not if you subscribe to Microsoft Office 365, or an Adobe CC Bundle, or use FileMaker Pro. All those have cross-platform licenses. I use them on both platforms.

Good to know. Right now the Office 16 that I have for both machines isn't a subscription but I guess if I ever change OS, it could be less sticker shock with a subscription. Thank you for the info.

Well it's been over two weeks that Win 10 would not open my photoshop 5.5, I've done lots of research to try and figure out what I could do to solve the problem. I haven't tried anything as of yet but to my surprise, this morning it opened on command and is working perfect!
It also brought up my Western Digital external drive which it kept telling me I would have to reformat in order for it to work and I would loose all my files by doing so! This is the second time that this has happened since I've had Win 10, what's up with that??? Glad to get them back but it is awful scary when it happens. Thanks for all the suggestions, but for now, I'm back in the saddle!

Windows 10 is the most user UN-friendly permutation of the series. I HATE it.

It allows any five devices to be activated at the same time... We have three Macs and a PC, but we seldom use the PC, so it's not set up for Office 365. My wife plans to add a new iPad next week.

As burkphoto would say, "Get a Mac".
