I have been considering your post and am humbled by it. A verse came to mind. Here is The Message paraphrase but it is awesome in all translations. Romans 1:20 "Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can’t see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being". It probably is not an answer for a theme but it certainly encapsulates a Christian photographers challenge and gift.
Here it is in King James....equally as beautiful.
20 "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead;"

That which should be clearly see should be photographed.

I know this doesn't answer the original poster's question and thought, but I wonder if this might help. I shoot nature. Any nature. I try to make it as beautiful as I can, even when it's sometimes harsh or uninviting, because it's God's world that He made for us. I did a show ages ago and on the table by the booklet I put my normal statement (Faithfully recording the world to the glory of its Creator.) An atheist friend came to see my show, and in my signature book she wrote: "Beautiful. Makes me want to know Him." That statement was my payment in full for every picture I had taken or ever would take.

I frequently photograph with a gal who claims to be a non-believer. Frequently we'll stand looking at some beautiful scene before starting to work, and I will say something about how beautiful is God's creation. It has taken 10 years, but she admitted one day she does believe there is a God. I call that success!
