Do you have to pay for using it?

I have used Printmaster for years for cards, posters, etc. Fairly easy to use and versatile. Only thing I have not liked on recent versions is that some of the detail files are only available on line. So I have to be connected to the internet to use them. Once it is saved as a project, it stays in the project file. It is also a little difficult to find the instructions to print on your printer. It is easier to order a project printed by them, which is not what I want to do.

I have been using a folding card stock that comes with envelopes from Michaels or Joanns. Rather than print on the card stock, I print a 4x6 picture related to the recipient, mount it and then write a message inside. That way they get their birthday or anniversary greeting and a photo to remember. Also HP has a greeting card app for pc's that is free.

I use the Hallmark Card Studio and have for years. I really enjoy it especially when I find myself in a position that I need a card. I like it because it's versatile and easy to use. I know that cards are expensive but people love it when it's personal. I don't know how much it costs me but the benefits are great. I also have to admit, I go to the $ store and get cards 2 for a $ , that's the cheapest way!! Good Luck on your adventure!

I have used Hallmark many times over the years. Really enjoy using it! However, I now have a 64 bit laptop with Win10. Hallmark no longer allows user to send ecards via gmail. Very frustrating! I have tried to contact them to no avail. May have to try a new card company.

I have made bday/anniversary/Mother's Day cards for my wife for the last 25 or so years. What is my tool? PowerPoint. As PP has grown in capability, my cards have matured in sophtication. I write all the text and include photography where appropriate. I buy the card stock at OffMax.

Just got an ad for a "closeout" price, $9.95, for the Hallmark standard greeting card program. Also offered is the deluxe version for $19.95 which includes more format choices plus a photo editor. Both are offered as a DVD purchase. Anyone used this program or a competitor version? Greeting cards have gotten expensive (so has everything else these days) that it appears to be a cost effective solution. I am not interested in the photo editor as I have PS Elements. Opinions/experience would be appreciated.

I have "many" deluxe versions of Hallmark and use it all the time. I love the program. I haven't purchased a card in over 16 years. I use it to address all my envelopes, make calendars, and all my mailing labels. The program is very versatile. I would go with the Deluxe version as you have more options. That's a pretty decent price as normally they run $49.99. I haven't upgraded mine since 2014 as they don't change all that much from year to year.

I'd say go for it -- you won't be disappointed. Photo Editor only does the basics as far as cropping, brightening, auto fix, opacity, red eye, contrast, clone, flip, rotate, gray scale, blur and some other minute changes. You can select cards and sayings like in a store or you can create your own. Here are some of the categories on things you can make in the program (see attached photo).

Yes, I do use Hallmark and always purchase the deluxe version. However, I found using the 2017 version that when I want to email a greeting to a friend or relative, it will not recognize gmail and requests me to find another server which is very annoying. Also, when I first purchased it, I was using a 32 bit computer. The computer took a hike and I replaced it for a laptop 64 bit. My Hallmark program would not work with the new computer. I contacted the provider and they were very accommodating. Sent me a new copy.
I find that, in my estimation, Hallmark has the best quality greeting cards. My son uses another brand and it doesn't seem to have quite the same quality. You can
google greeting card programs and see for yourself what is best for you.
Enjoy!

I have been using Hallmark photo studio for more than 5 years and each time there is a new version available, available, I will continue to update. Sure, there is a bit of duplication but we'll worth the purchase with the newer versions.
Actually, I keep a folder with all the old versions to review some of their older views. Will keep on using them for their quality and am able to email as needed. Highly recommend their program.
