Any cheaper places?

[other than B&H, Adorama, Amazon] That are trustworthy and not Grey Market, probably not. Or go for a used Canon 5D Mkiii. You MIGHT find a 5D Mk iv used for a price much below new.

The only thing that you have to watch with small local shops is that they sometimes have their own agenda. I went in looking at Canon bodies at one shop and one day they salesperson tried to talk me into a Nikon and a couple weeks later another salesperson tried to tell me I would be crazy to even think about going to a Nikon. Some shops try to push what they make the most money on too. And if you are looking at the high end cameras sometimes the shops don't even carry that model due to low possibility of sales. Decide what you want and need and get it from B&H is my recommendation if you want to purchase new. Canon refurbished if otherwise.

At my local store (Henry's) the sales guys all have their own brand preferences. Over time I got to know who to talk to to get the advice I needed. Mike was instrumental in helping me maximize my photography. Side note - last year Henry's decided that their sales staff with 25+ years of experience were too expensive to keep and gave them all working notice. Mike left at the end of August 2016 and since then, I have been dealing with another local dealer.

If you want cheaper priced, your only legitimate option, in IMHO, is buying a refurbished from Canon USA as mentioned above. It's warrantied for a full year and is a USA product. If you want to save a couple of hundred bucks, you can find a lot of dealers selling gray market or iffy used ones.

The other on line dealers listed above are good, just make sure it's a USA model. And if Amazon, you need to do your homework as to who is actually providing the camera, since sometimes the seller is only a dealer selling through Amazon.

Sure, you can always find it cheaper. If it fell of the back of a truck is one way. Or, a friend of a friend of a friend might have one for sale they never used. Or it could be gray market. But, if you want a camera that has a manufacture warranty and can be fixed by a registered dealer, you will be paying what the manufacturer pegs it at.

The one you want to really stay away from is the obvious out of reality price; it's a scam. So when they advertise for $750 what everyone else is selling for $999, ya, its a scam.

NOTE: Amazon has been having some problems standing behind their third party sellers. As more and more scammers use their system, innocent people are being ripped off. Amazon is not on the consumer's side. https://petapixel.com/2017/08/11/fell-victim-1500-used-camera-lens-scam-amazon/
