My advice to the OP is to call B&H. Demand they contact Nikon in Japan, by way of Nikon USA, and have them ship a new box, with serial number xxxxxxxx label attached. I would also demand overnight express delivery, since you have already endured too much pain and suffering, anxiety, and frustration.
