Cathy, keep on keeping on. We are learning. I love #3- the composition and blur. I have found in playing that the focus circle on my camera has to be a tad below or to side of the actual spot I want in focus. Don't know why. I just keep that in mind and gently move until I think I have it. Don't always achieve though. Where is Donna's "lesson" posted please? I for some reason must have missed it and would love to learn from her skills. Don't breathe too much bad air if you go out.

That's terrible about the air... I pray that fire and smoke ends soon. Good luck tonight, Cathy and can't wait to hear and see how you do!! I think if ever I shoot a landscape I might try to bend, it might be a little easier than using it for closeups.

I think you're right 'cuz that focus has to be right on, and there is no fudging.

Very nice, Cathy! I always love seeing your experiments. They're always so helpful, and keep the rest of us going. With the Lensbabies, it's experiment, experiment, and sometimes delete, delete! But practice makes perfect so they say. Thanks for sharing!

Well, Jane, I went out last evening to try again, and only two turned out right, the rest deleted. I used my monopod with the three little feet (steadier than a monopod without them), and I could hardly see the LCD screen in order to focus, so had to use the viewfinder. I find it harder to see the effects/center of focus clearly that way. Oh well.......

I'll have to try that, Sandy. Usually, I'll move it a little, take a shot, and then adjust it again a little, take a shot, etc. Sometimes that works - one of those pictures might be good...
