Honestly, if something isn't selling on any of those places, then you probably need to lower your price. The companies like Adorama, B&H, and KEH will offer you approx. 70% of what the going rate is on Ebay, etc. They have to make a profit, so I don't blame them at all.
Therefore, you will still probably make money going back to what you tried before, but with lower prices. People here, and even ebay, tend to research the heck out of prices, and know what the value is. We sometimes think that because we spent $1000, we should get almost that much back. My D7000 was close to $1000 new, and now they sell for $300. Electronics are NOT good investments.

Exactly, I both buy and sell on eBay and Amazon. I'll do a lot of research and for eBay look at closed past sales/auctions as well. And then to actually sell it, undercut most of the competition with an item that is slightly better than the others for the same price. If you get greedy it might never sell, the customers know. Yes, I've sold some Photo stuff in addition to a lot of Books, CDs, and DVDs.
The only time I think the buy did not know what they were doing and I really made out was once I listed a really strange Key Harmonica on eBay. Two people wanted it and got into a bidding war. In the end I got more than what I paid for it new! They likely did not do proper research first. I obviously did not tell them where I bought it from originally. Sadly, that company is now OOB.
