If I send someone a picture that I have taken and my camera has EXIF information, can the person I send the picture to see that information and how would they access it. Thank You. David
If you send a raw or TIFF image, the info is contained. If you send a JPG image, chances are info not attached.

There is a free program called Exifdata (exifdata.com). Download the progam, run it, and then drag the program from its little window to the desktop. The get the data from an image, drag that image onto the Exifdata icon, and it will open a window with all the data.
Another possibility is Irfanview, a free graphics program. Download the program and its plug-ins. hen you use the menu to get the info. The shortcut is "I" and then "E" for more info.
Thanks Nikonian 72, but how can you view the info?
Thanks for the info jerryc41.

Most Post Processing programs have an "info" button that accesses Exif information of image selected. I use the free PP program Picasa 3.
Than I take it that the person that I send the picture can not see this info unless they have a program to get it. Thanks for all your help. I was really hopeing that there was a very easy way to see it, but I guess they will have to download a program to do it with. Thanks again everyone.

In Windows you right-click on the file, choose Properties then the Details tab. RAW or JPG the EXIF information is there.
In Photoshop if I save my NEAF picture as JPG the EXIF information is still available from the JPG in Opanda IExif.

Before opening the image, right click on it, go to properties, click on Details tab at top, and you'll see a lot, not all of the information about the image. Dimensions, width, height, resolution, bit depth, size, date created, owners name, computer name etc. If the image comes from an original, and not a copy paste, then you will see the camera maker, model, F-stop, exposure time, ISO, focal length, max aperture, metering mode, subject distance and flash or no flash. If a person has added exif info to the image, you'll see some of that as well.

EXIF stuff should be included by default in your JPG as well. Here is an excellent EXIF editor - freeware - highly recommended:
PhotoME EXIF Editor

Merlin1300 -=- I know the info is included but, what I was asking was == that when I send the picture to someone else, how could they see it? Thanks for your input

Well - - once it's on their computer - they can just right click the file and select 'properties' - the EXIF info can usually be seen there.
