It proves that it's not the camera that takes good pictures ...it's the operator !

Congrats are in order for you Miss Carol

I put it in the photo gallery too.

An exceptional example of why I regularly recommend Lumix FZ bridge cameras. Although I also have a Sony Alpha 55 dSLR, I have an 8MP 2006 Lumix FZ-30 and still love it. Not too good in low light but excellent for everything else I do - and it shoots in RAW if that's what you use. I firmly believe it's the Leica lens that sets the Lumix FZ line apart from the masses. I'd much rather have the camera and lens work with me rather than against me.

Very nice work Carol!

My D7000 is getting dusty too. I just got my new Panasonic DMC ZS20 (red). And I no longer care when my D800e get here.

I knew this was a good camera because I have been shooting some of my best images with my older Panasonic (DMC-TZ3)for 5 years.

If I knew about this 14 megapixel, Leica lens, and all of the flexibility of shooting P-S-A-M and video...

What DSLR?

While I have two Canon DSLR cameras, I also have both the Panasonic Lumix FZ47 bridge and the Panasonic LX5. I am constantly amazed at the images these two Panasonics produce with the leica lens. Always use them for walkabout, family gatherings and travel. DSLRs are just too big, so they are only used for soccer games. I like-a my leicas. YES, Carol, fantastic shot of the moth.

thanks a lot! I didn't want to relearn a whole new camera. I had an older Panasonic previously. This one I am happy with.

I have been using Nikons and Lumix cameras for years and when I look back at photos that I think are special I don't know which camera I used unless I check the EXIF.

I have a FZ18 which I love and now a FZ-150 which I am learning about. I love nature and wildlife just as you do. Could you tell me what settings and if you used a Panny close up lens for this shot. Please describe how you took the shot. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately, I must be the only person in the U.S. who does not have a FB account. So how do I find you on FB? Don't I need an account? Pardon my ignorance. ;-)

Incredible shot - and from a bridge camera at that. There are a few that say that can't be done, but you sure did it! Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

One question: Does your camera record in RAW as well as JPEG?
