Just a few more. The last shot is of anti-marchers.

Voss - These are fine "reportage" images. I greatly respect the fact that you are submitting them here as examples of photography rather than to espouse one point of view or another. Did you ever work previously as a photojournalist?

Thank you for thinking so, Ralph, but, no, I never did. I just see it as more examples of Street, since protesting and rioting have been a relatively common activity in this country since the '70s anyhow.

Nice series Voss. Once again you posted the contrasts, which makes good Street Photography.

The shot of the US Flags is especially nice.

#1 and #2 are the best I've seen from you. Interesting compositions and well timed with very good post processing. There are further crops you could consider, and maybe you did, but these two are really nice examples of irony. Since you're after art rather than documenting the demonstration, have you considered altering the corners of these strong images to diminish distraction from your subject? Maybe that's not allowed in street photography...

Thanks, Anthony. I do put a lot of thought into the cropping. It's often a matter of trying to get rid of the distractions while still including the relevant stuff. I really don't know how much altering is permissible in street photography. Personally, I'd readily clone out an errant hand floating at the edge of a photo (if it could be done inconspicuously), but would not remove an entire person. If you have specific thoughts on these two photos, I'd be happy to hear them. Or, feel free to copy, alter, and post them.
