From all indications, this little lady has young ones. I'm just waiting for her to bring them along. She has supper with the raccoons almost every evening.

These look like Gray Foxes. We used to see some late in the evenings (almost dark) & they would eat meat scraps right beside one of our cats. I always wished I had a camera. By the time I bought my camera they quit coming around. I think someone who lives near by shot them. You are so lucky to get the chance to shoot them with your camera. Such great shots.

I hope the ones that were shot by someone in your neighborhood were shot with a camera.

No, I wish that were the case. The *&#!#! that shot them used one of his 22 rifles. He holes up in a building on his property with his arsenal & waits for something to appear so he can kill it. He keeps fighting roosters to sell to the low life that fights them. The roosters are kept outside in the open, sometimes tied by a leg, so they become bait for foxes & other prey. If only a hunter would see him outside & mistake him for a deer.

Ouch! I guess the only kind of cruelty that we cannot comprehend is what we don't perpetrate ourselves. I have an affection for foxes and other creatures adaptable enough to survive the Age of Man, and it grieves me to hear this. I like your kind of shooting much better.

Great shots! Is this a grey fox? I have recently stumbled upon a red fox den. I have been ther 3 seperate times, and never saw the momma. The kits(3) are fearless. Get all the shots you can, as every day older they get, the more thier natural instincts kick in, and they get harder to capture. I eventually got some nice ones, I can post if you want.

Keep looking for the kits!

Thanks for the comments.

Yes! Please post your photos here. I'm sure everyone would love to see them.

This is a grey fox. I have never seen a solid grey fox; it seems they all have some red on them. When you see a red fox, there is no doubt.

Those are beautiful. My cats share meals with a opposum. Sad to think that people raise them, then let them out to kill them if I understood that correctly.

I hope you can watch the fox for a long long time.

The fox hunters get VERY upset if they hear of one being killed.
The sport is in the chase. The fox always wins.

Yeah, me too. I've never thought of myself as being capable of commiting an act of deliberate cruelty but to this sorry excuse for a man I could make an exception.

I've been trying for several months to get some fox pics. When I finally got some of an adult huinting in a field, it turned out to have mainge(sp), so it didn't make for very pleasant photos. Finding the babies was a big help, as they are much less timid, but each day the grew a little more skittish, and now I don't see them at all.

Pg. 2: Love your pictures!! The young foxes are so cute. Is there a law in your state about cock fighting? Turn that guy in if there is.

I really appreciated those shots. Thanks. They made me realize why I have always liked them.
