Getting that clean wind energy to market is a growing problem. Every type of "rights" wacko you can think of is opposed to building the high tension transmission lines required.
They are all in favor of clean and green but no power lines. Search for "Rock Island Clean Line" and see what happened to that project.
We have the wind towers in Iowa and the energy to sell, just no way to get it to market.

They tried the same thing with the Bakkan oil pipe line but that one got pushed through, even if the past administration tried to stop it at the last minute.
The oil situation is a little different in that the oil is already being moved to market via rail lines and there have been some bad derailments with big fires. The pipeline is safer though some people will never admit that.
