Reminds me of my old Dinky toy LEYLAND OCTOPUS flatbed. Saw a documentary once, needed arm muscles the size of most people's thighs to wrestle that round a tight bend.
For a couple of summers between High School & College, after I got my driver's license (late 50's), I worked with a maintenance crew in our small town; I was also the fill-in driver for the early 50's Mack dump truck. We used to joke that it had "Arm Strong" power steering; it made Army 6 x 6, 5T & 10T trucks seem like limos in comparison. The town was built around hills; you also didn't want to miss a downshift if you were going up some of the hills with a load.
