Alright Betsy...First off, all of us on the "Hog" probably need to know what type of setting you are taking pix under. Secondly, if they are TRULY some of your "African American" friends WHY have you NOT already taken pix already? Surely there must have been Holidays and plenty of gatherings for photo-ops. Sounds to me like you are just digging around for free advice WITHOUT putting the time into learning the ART of photography. Do your homework, read your manual, and DO NOT waste other peoples time.  8-)

Maybe she just got her camera, and felt that the pictures she was going to take should be better then a snapshot. I mean.....really do you take you camera to every place you go to....like work?

I have lot's of freiends of all colors who I do not have pictures of. Are you suggesting that everyone who is a friend you should already have documented that with a picture?

I guess I need to pull out my iphone everytime I see someone and tell them, let me take your picture so I can prove we are friends.

Rachel...IF you can re-read what I posted, and what I replied to, I believe you could possibly understand. By the way..it's friends, not "freiends" as you posted. If you would care to take this discussion further, I suggest you not. I do not care one way or the other. NO-ONE said anything about documenting anything/anyone. Get off your horse, this is a fun forum. We do not need attitudes here. 8-)

Oh child..I looked at the big picture, sat down, and waited for someone to rant and rave about miniscule views. I responded not on the form of semantics, but on the structure /composition of pix. Put your claws away. Everything will be alright. 8-)

well now, if we want to be correct that last paragraph should have read... Really, you're (not your) worse (not worst) than (Not then.. you are always using "then" when you should be using "than", by the way) I thought you (not your) were, clearly you're (not your) desperate.

That is how it should have been written, I'm not judging, I'm simply correcting to help you. It was not just a case of misspelling but also mis-using words.

Why did you clearly point out a mis-spelled word in your first paragraph? Is it's because immaturity, and egotistical personality was coming out? You had to fault find in someone else? Find a weakness and pounce on it? Then sit back and make statements like: Oh Child...... like you have the superior point to make? What an arrogant person you are....

Thank you all for pointing out how, after a few sincere people have offered valid advice, a thread like this can turn to a mud-slinging contest filled "with the best intentions" and completely off-topic!

So my grammer is horrible, what's your point? Is this an English class which I'm to be graded on? I'm sorry for my terrible education and having to raise myself, as well as teach myself how to read and write. You know nothing about me, and I find people who make statements like yours very arrogant.

In other words, I really hate people who judge others without knowing them.

Rachel, there is "No Point", it was to help you, be happy others are trying to help you. I will once more add what I said, so that you may read it again and this time take it in and understand.

"I'm not judging, I was simply correcting to help you"... now what is wrong with that? You jumped on your high horse to come back with an attack. I was not attacking nor judging you. I suppose you may also come back with an attack if someone were trying to help your photography improve as well, would you?

Take it for what it was meant, as help and not judgment of you or attacking you.

You are not kidding! There's a bunch/flock/colony of nut-cases out there who would love to jump on a chance to attack a sane/intelligent opinion. That is, unfortunately, too bad for us as a photography-taking group, but also unfortunate for some other people....especially the ones that just found our site and have to read a diatribe such as just went on. I believe that as a whole, cognitive group we can ( and already have ) helped a BOAT-LOAD of aspiring photo-nuts. Bill...I do not believe this thread is worth the time to continue on. I am signing off, and just going to say...good luck to ALL! 8-)

okay, it just seem very rude to me, so can you please understand from my point of view, making a comment like you did, about my grammer without me asking me was very presumptuous of you. Which could easily be taken the wrong way.

If all you have is a hammer, don't treat everyone out there as a nail. You'll live a happier life.

So you have a Narcissistic personality? You clearly feel that everyone who does not agree with your point of view is a nut case? Belonging to a flock? Again what an arrogant person you are. I find that to often we have a group of men who can not stand that a women has a point of view because they are insecure. Are you hiding something behind your words?

May I suggest some therapy and Viagra? It will help with your NPD, not to mention your other things.

You, Rachel, can say anything or talk about anything you would like on this forum. I, as well as everyone else that has followed this thread tonight understand which one of us are ranting or raving, perhaps just plain bitching about a crappy life. I am not the one constantly whining. When the comp. alerts me to a new message, it rings a bell-sounding noise. Usually it is important to me. Tonight, with this banality has been a waste of my, and the rest of the people that log, you and I are both wasting time. Good luck with your life...I truly hope you find happiness!! Aw hell.....If you cannot find Happiness, find peace, and forgive whomever pissed you off so long ago. 8-)
