I don't know any thing about your camera but I want to tell you what I did. I have a FujiFilm. No instructions came with it so I wrote to the company asking for a booklet. Right away I was sent a desk size book and a smaller one to carry with me. The smaller one is a duplicate of the larger one.
I hope you will contact the company with your request.
Good Luck to you.

You have one hell of a camera there. This one was the one I wanted but its' release was delayed so I bought the a580 instead because I needed it for a trip.

If there are any tutorials, they would be on Youtube. The ones on the Sony site are generic. You have to read the manual!!! If you have a specific question, just pm me and I will try to walk you through it.

And yes, it has many great features. You just have to familiarize yourself with them one step at a time. Just make sure that when you shoot that your light meter is in the middle and that you are in focus. This will get you started. And get away from the automatic settings as soon as you can in order to enjoy the full potential of this wonderful camera.

By the way, what lenses did you get with it?

Best tip I ever got with my Sony was: just go out and play with the settings - learn as you go and have fun!

Go to Amazon and look for the book: The Digital Field Guide to ... Whatever your camera is. So much better than the instruction manuals that come with cameras! There is one for just about every camera out there.

No way around it! Gotta really delve into the manual. However, to make things easier you can go to Office Max, Office Depot, et. al, and they will print the manual (from on-line) into a very readable 8 1/2 x 11 foremat , with nice sized font, and a ring binder that will fit in your lap (and stay open) while you sit in your easy chair and read. About $15., but well worth it

Thanks to all, I really love this forum. I will post some pics once I digest some of the features other than the ever popular "Auto"

BTW, The Fujifilm Co. never charged me for the books, not even a mailing fee. I am impressed with them. And what you said backed me up. Makes me very pleased.
I don't understand what you mean that you have "2 bridge" Fuji. I have been quite pleased with the Fuji, except that I can't macro. Mighty close, but not macro.

Hay, 2 dog, have you done a search on Amazon? There are a couple of after market manuals ( one is a "...for Dummies")
and a couple more to be released in the near future. One of the better ones is by Gary Friedman, if you like writing in a conversational style. Easy to understand.

At least you've taken the first step, that of realizing that the manufacturer's manual is more of less useless. I have an a77, the first one sold by Adorama, and am just getting really confortable with it. This is a complex machine, but fear not, the fog will eventually lift.

I got David Busch's book for my A330 and it is better than the manual that came with the camera. You might see if he has one out for the A65.

I own two fujifilm bridge cameras the S100FS and the HS20EXR they have more functions than a point and shoot and almost all the functions of a DSLR. Both have macro and super macro functions. What camera do you have?

The first thing I would do is get on youtube and do a search for your particular camera. Then I would search to see what videos you can find on the Sony line of cameras, since many are very similar and have similar controls.

And then I would search on DSLR, just to see how many generic videos you can find.
There is a lot of instruction on how to use these cameras, if not specifically the model you have.
