That's a relief to know. I am going to rest my mind on this decision for a few days, then look at my options again. My brain is tired.

I agree with Peterff, not only on resting from the information overload, but also on his evaluation of the video. If you use the printer wirelessly, the most complicated part is to get it connected with your router, that isn't too difficult. If you have it plugged into your computer, no big deal. And Canon's tech support people are very capable as well as patient when it comes to helping people figure things out. I've called them several times, because my current printer was different in some ways from my old one.

I was thinking about your space problem. If I ever get a larger TV, I will have to get rid of the cabinet where my printer resides [the cabinet is almost too small for the TV I have!]. In that case, I would install a sturdy shelf on the wall above it for the printer, or have my husband build a larger cabinet! If the apartment is rented, you would probably have to ask permission to put a shelf on the wall, but that can be done with minimal damage that is easily corrected if the shelf is taken down.

I saw your post about how your son-in-law is your "go-to guy" for technical support. Why don't you run it by him about making a space for the printer? He might have some simple, doable solution to suggest!

Can't be sure if it's the same on the pro 100, but on the 9000, you can feed 13x9 photo paper from the top so the back can go against the wall

My pro 100 wouldn't allow me to use the top feed for a 13x19 semi-gloss print. You need less then eight inch of clearance to use the rear feed.

Exactly. I've never used the rear feed, but can move the printer should I need to. It even has wheels to make that easier should moving be needed. Mine (9000 mk II) is less than 20 inches from front to the wall behind it. I use the top feed for photo paper and the front feed for CD/DVD/Blu-ray printable media.

A great big thank you to everyone who gave information on printers. After resting my mind a few days on this subject I made my decision. Although the Pro 100 sounds great, the Pixma TS9020 is the better option for me. Besides space being a huge problem, I definitely want a scanner. I found this printer at Staples for $149. with a rebate. I'm quite satisfied with my decision, but will know better once it is here and hooked up. You people on here are wonderful. Thanks again.
