If you contact "nations photo lab" they can fix you up with your prints..

The OP wants to e-mail images, not get prints.
Helps if you read the post!!!!

Just a few answer to the op's questions.
1.With gmail you can attach up to 25MB of files so you can send the two originals by just attaching the originals to your gmail.
2.After cropping save your image as a new .jpg file with the highest quality choice. The lower your quality choice, the smaller the image will be.
3.After cropping you can find out the size of photos in windows by right clicking on the pic icon and opening the properties tab,
then clcking on the detail tab. (see attached).
4. With photoshop you can upsize or downsize you picture dimensions.

I am assuming you are using windows. If so, you may want to go to www.irfanview.com and download the excellent, free program of the same name. It includes the ability to re-size the photo and many other basic edits. It's a great program and whenever I am using Windows I use it in preference to any other viewer. It does not run on Mac. While I've not used FastStone, it also has a good reputation. I like Irfan View for it's huge set of features and abilities including format conversion, size conversion, basic exposure and color edits, sharpening, etc.

The posts that say you can't make it bigger than what you already took are, for practical purposes, correct.

For indoor shots or even outdoor, a wide angle has two essential limits. First, if it is not an architectural lens it will have distortion if it is wide enough. Second, it may not be wide enough. Some cameras have a way to "stitch" pics together. Pretty much all of them including the iPhone have a panorama mode. The only problem with that is the distortion that comes with smaller sizes as the objects get farther away. The attached image was taken with my iPhone and may give you the general idea although the house was in the 175k range, not multi-million!

Oh yes and then cropped and sent thur email. Does email resize photos when sent?

Not usually, but they definitely get resized when you post here. If you try to post a 6000 X 3000 image, it will automatically be reduced. If you post these and click (store orignal), and we will be able to get a better idea of what you have there.

Regarding the picture of the house, it would have been nice to been able to take that picture with out the white yard sign next to the drive. If it was sunk in the ground I would have cloned it out (make it go away). Also if possible moving to your left shooting up the drive more, to the left of the green Ivy wall a picture leading you up the steps might be more appealing. The second picture with the reflection in the water, of the slide and I think that's a fountain distracts me. I would have used a cp circular polarizer to remove reflection

Royce, the first thing you need a lesson on is how our web site works and how to make the most of it. The first thing to know is that when you reply to someone use the "Quote Reply" at the bottom of their statement. Then everyone will know who the heck you are talking to. Secondly, whenever you upload a picture here, try to use jpg images and use the little check box that says (store original). It makes a big difference. It allows us to see the metadata and other information like the "picture size" etc.

Now to your dilemma. Invest in a program called Photoshop Elements. It's a lot like Photoshop but it's basically the light version which is simpler and easier to learn. Don't get me wrong, it's still going to take some learning, but not such a steep learning curve as Photoshop. It's cost is between $50 and $70. You will be able to get basic information like the image size, resize, crop, adjust the image contrast, saturation, exposure, do sharpening, and noise reduction etc.

The moral of this thread is that a real professional knows when the job requires another professional.

Well in the OP's defense, the agent came to him.

Correct. "The agent came to him." The problem begins with the agent.

I'm with you, but if these shots help to sell the property, no skin off of our backs right?

Picassa definitely resizes the images by default when emailed. You can change that under settings. You can also straighten the images in Picassa. If you crop and want to send them via any other method than Picassa you must do a file save as in Picassa. Picassa is a non-destructive editor and never touches the original file, unless you save it. Always back up your originals first.

That was prominent in this thread.
