UNTITLED ... any thoughts?
So here is the third in my tiger series, alas I don't have a good title for it. Feel free to submit ideas. This is a study in my original photography, compositing and digital painting to create the final result which is 62.5" x 42.5". I then print it to canvas and finish it with acrylics, a couple of texture coats and finally a couple of gloss coats. Then I send it out for framing ... and then my mom steals it for her house instead of mine. ;-)

There was quite a bit of origianl painting done to finish this piece.
I designed this for my wife and our living room, then my mom "borrowed" it.

I like the addition of the tigers, they seem to belong there.
Those tigers certainly changed the mood of the original photo. In addition nice touch adding the bird. As for a title I don't have a clue. But with all the work you are putting into the shot, I think you should be the one to give it a title.

Thanks for all your feedback, Frank -- this was a fun project. I may still come up with title, but I've been working on this for the past two months and I seemed to have hit a road block.
Don,
Your matching the tonality of the tigers to that of the scene is absolutely impeccable.
Simply a masterful accomplishment in all regards.

They are all amazing. The one over your mantle looks fantastic where it is. I also appreciated the shot showing you at work. Gives us some insight into the process. Thanks for posting.

Phenomenal work Don !!! Its encouraging to see some of the other steps you take for the finishing touches. Thanks for the insight.

Where is the trophy room surely there must be one?
I think this is beautiful. I love the addition of the three tigers and how you treated the lighting in your finished piece. (This is only my opinion and it is a small detail, however, I noticed right away that the splashes around the hind legs are a little off to me. Both hind legs have splashes as if in motion. It seems to me that the left hind leg should have rings and drips as it feels like it is the stationary limb at that moment, and not the backward splash of a leg that has entered/left the water) Regardless, it is a beautiful piece of art. I envy your talent.
You are blessed with an amazing talent!
ditto to what everyone else has said
these are the absolute masterpieces of a genius--love them
