Thank you to everyone who responded to my question on using Chrome.
It appears that Chrome gets more positive votes. I will give it a try over Edge.

I started out with Netscape in 94. I switched to IE around 2000 when Netscape became unusable. In 2002, I went to Firefox. When Chrome came out I used both Firefox and Chrome. Some things were better accomplished in one than the other. I. Somewhere along the line I used Opera for about a year but would switch to Chrome or Firefox for some things. Now I primarily use Chrome but I have Opera and Firefox installed as well as Edge, of course. I switch between the three to get around the limit some newspapers have on the number of articles you can read in a month.

I have not used Internet Explorer since 2002, it's an insecure mess. All of the others are at least somewhat sandboxed. Chrome uses too much system resources. Google needs to address that. Opera is the easiest on system resources but has other issues. Edge may be easier on system resources than Opera, but I'm not sure. I believe Edge is close to being the most secure.

I almost forgot I also use Tor, for when I'm fooling around on the dark web.

Amen, started around '96, the rest pretty much a blueprint of myself except the Opera :) .. even the Tor part :) . Can't say much for Edge since I stay away from "it" :)

And that's how I became a Chrome user and having Firefox as Backup. Rarely falling back on IE and most likely forced to do so.

Went to Chrome after Explorer became so slow. I use it on all my devices.

I lover Chrome, and I'm sticking with it. I have it on all my computers (Mac and Windows) and other devices. Bookmarks, contacts, and calendars sync immediately on all devices, and there are lots of handy extensions. I can't see myself using anything else.

Can't even remember how long I've been using Chrome. I use it on my Macs and Pcs. Best of luck.

I try not to use Google products. I don't see any reason to give information about me (*) to a company that makes its money selling information.

(*) there is no reason to believe that Chrome isn't collecting information about where you go, and reporting it back to the "mother ship".

I used Opera for years, until they changed their source code, now they are little more than a rebranded chrome. I currently use firefox, and chromium the open source version of chrome and where google originally got the source code to build chrome.

Anyone have any comments on using Chrome VS other Browsers like Edge?

I've used Firefox for 15 years or more, but recently moved to Chrome. Firefox began to slow down in the face of all the excess Javascript routines and other "stuff." For the last four months it has been just Chrome and it has worked well. There are a few things I miss from Firefox, but it's just a relearning. MS Edge is very nice, but seems too complicated and too intrusive--it "calls home" too much for my liking.
