Delighted to see that you were served well - have made sure to copy the CS Manager to share with all the team.

Here's a true story: I always try first to support my local brick and mortar. However for a recent purchase for a product that they did not carry, your constant presence on UHH was the deciding factor on a choice of three-- all of whom had the same price.

Customer service and a personal touch makes a difference.

I had a not so great experience with Adorama. I purchased an extended warranty on a camera that was backordered. I checked with cs to make sure the warranty wouldn't strat until the camera was sent. They assured me that the start date would be the ship date. Well, the camera shipped, and the warranty started on the order date. I tried several times to get it corrected. I finally gave up. However, I really like the camera.

My best guess is that maybe you didn't register the warranty in your own when you received it. If there should still be time left on the warranty, I may be able to get this addressed - please email me: Helen@adorama.com

Wow, Helen, you work fast. I got a call and they fixed everything. They're emailing me a new contract now. Thank you so much.

OK, HERE'S ONE THAT'S HARD TO BELIEVE: Purchased Canon XA 30, pro videocam directly from Adorama because it was cheaper than going thru ebay. I'm in over my head with this cam, electronically challenged as I am, and actually blew a shoot, video was worse than SD. Approaching the 30th day, I contacted them, explaining that I could not yet tell that it is a defective product or a loose nut behind the view finder.

Worked with Canon Tech (they're good) who helped a bunch and suggested (very politely) it could be both the cam and/or me .

I didn't want to send it back to Adorama if the culprit were me so I told them (email) I would gamble and keep it for better or for worse.

Unbelievably, the same day, an unsolicited email came back from Adorama basically stating ....Hey, we appreciate your honesty but don't want you stuck either so we will extend the 30 day return policy 3 weeks.. .... I don't believe these people. Nobody's told them how to stick the buyer like so manyother sellers. You bet they have a loyal customer.

FYI, I had another shoot, video was fine but hurt the sound. I'm pretty sure it was the SGMic used ... I've ordered another and have a gig to shoot tomorrow so I'll use the BIMic. I'm working with the cam daily and I'll know a lot more tomorrow.

There was a story in Postal Life Magazine , many years ago. It was too expensive to ship cinder blocks to a homestead in Alaska. So the guy found out that it was cheaper to mail the blocks . So the guy mailed enough cinder blocks to build his foundation for his home. Which really doesnnt have much to do with Adorama . They have treated mewell in the past.

I guess that I too will pile on. I Love Adorama! Every camera body, lens, filter, strap, flash, cleaning equipment, etc. that I own has come from Adorama. I would try another store, however, Adorama has never given me ANYTHING but GREAT Service. There are other stores heavily endorsed here on UHH as well, and they may provide excellent service and pricing as well, but Adorama responds quickly to my emails and has never given me a reason to stray. I'm sorry to gush but I guess that I'm just another Adorama fan-boy. Sigh

I seem to have lost the lens cap for my Nikon 18-140 lens yesterday. Local availability here is sketchy if at all, so I went online and found one at Adorama for a good price. Unfortunately, when it comes to shipping things to Alaska, the shipping rates skyrocket. Haven't figured out why yet, but that is how it is. So the free shipping didn't apply. The lens cap was $11.00 and change, but shipping was going to be nearly as much. That was disappointing, as that added over $9.00 to the item. The guy was sympathetic and instead of shipping UPS, he said he'd put in the regular mail and only charged me $5.25 to mail it up here. Now that's what I call customer service. Good folks there. THANKS Adorama.
