Nikon has a firmware update I found in my wanderings.

My D7200 has an update that I got and installed making my camera now C101 to C102

Any significant improvements with it?

Check the Nikon site for specific improvements. Firmware updates available for this camera, plus the D810, 810a, D750 and the D500.

How did you update it? Via cable?

Great. Now that you know, check every once in a while for updates on your camera model.

Most welcome. I find the process a little disconcerting every time. If something goes awry you could end up with an expensive door stop.

No different than updating BIOS on a computer.

Yikes...don't want that to happen!

Here is a stupid question, what if I did not do the C101, so my camera right now is C100, do I have to do the C101 first then the C102, or can I just do the C102? A little nervous about it!

I have had this similar issue. I just installed the latest update with no problem. If memory serves, it usually incorporates interim improvements.

Thank you Jim Bob,
The instructions look a bit daunting, having to save settings to a memory card and then having to reset alot of settings in the camera. I have never done a firmware update before and these type of things seem to always cause my heart a bit of a jump!
