Gotcha...

I do know that the vet care sucks and always has. Back in WWII they screwed my father out of his disability and because of it, none of his children or his sister's children, nor my son will ever join and no members of our family will until make it right. I see veteran anfter veteran getting screwed by the system that has betrayed them after they put their life on the line for the country. I know one that was just killed by them and a private Doctor to boot.

It is easy to blame the insurance companies and often it is justified......however, the medical facilities have their piece of the pie too. Several years ago I scanned a bill for a hospital stay and saw an over charge of several hundred dollars. I contacted the insurance company, and they thanked me. When I got their statement they showed that they had paid the entire amount. I called them and asked them why they paid for something I did not receive. I was told that if they contested the charges the hospital could then refuse to take their clients and that would cost them more in the long run. The entire system is flawed. One of my insurance providers decided to revamp their list of doctors in dermatology, that could treat their clients. They removed 60 percent of the doctors in the St Louis Area (Dermatologists), leaving only a few that could treat in their network. In a round about way that is a method of refusing treatment for a pre-exhisting condition. I was listening to their ads the other day on the boob-tube, and they stated that you did not have to remain in network to get treated under their plan. What a crock of poop.

You are right; it is a scam and a tug of war between the government, insurance companies and the medical field (hospitals and suppliers of medial equipment and supplies). The government needs to take control in this area only and keep these over grown greedy children under control in all areas. The scam part, which many are not aware of, is that it is Doctors themselves that own the health insurance companies and they play this scam on us back and forth to raise their rates and income, and it is us, the American people ,who get taken every time. I don't believe in the government sticking its nose into business but the American corporations have proven over and over again if they are not regulated they will rip us blind.

Wouldn't it be nice if it was flawed in the other direction - in favor of people who need medical care?
