Hi Suntouched!

For many months I was also vascillating between the (new at the time) Sony A6300 and
the Fujifilm X-T1. At first I thought Sony was the way to go, until my mentor photographer said to look at the X-T1, which he had and showed me some of his photo's.
OK I liked the X-T1; the dials were right there, it felt very nice & definitely did not need any extra large handle to f grasp.
Sorry this is too long!! But to get to the point of the X-T2. It was released not long after buying my X-T1; I bought it anyway ( I understand it was a hasty thing), but I LOVE this camera!! It is better than the X-T1 in that its a little easier to hold, the viewfinder is brighter and the AF is a dream to use. After a recent upgrade the ISO dial is easily adjusted by the front wheel without taking your eye away! The photo's in jpeg are great! Very sharp and great colors & so fun to use!! Its a real professional camera or use as a "point & shoot", however I must say I stopped using "auto" and never used anything else in all the years & canera's used before. Thanks to the mentor I mentioned earlier, I was shown the " light" and this camera made it easy to really understand what IOS does as well as how to use aperature correctly. Now I really do appreciate what this camera can do and how I can control the settings. Became very easy to do and understand.
The Fujifilm Brand I highly respect and its products are very well made and those upgrades I will always read & use. Until recently the Fujifilm Brand only made CPS-C sensors and equipment. They have years of experience in this and make beautiful camera's to go along.
I highly recommended the Fujifilm X-T2 and have absolutely no regrets in buying it. Plus those Fujinon glass are great lenses!! I bought their 100mm - 400mm Zoom lens and it is large & somewhat heavy; but still less than my Canon lens and even hand held I have gotten very noice photo's - I do recommend using a tripod to use correctly.

So again, sorry this is so long; but I wanted to show how much I like this camera and how it helped me really use and learn from it.
Good luck. Regards, Bart

drbart-thank you for your reply. I appreciate the time and thought you put into it. i really like the X-T2 too. I have been playing with the panorama mode for some nice images. It's a bit finicky to get the "sweep" speed just right and the camera level throughout but it does a nice job of stitching and cropping inside the camera. Of course the end result is a Jpeg but as you said the camera does nice Jpegs. I have learned to lock the controls on top because once too many times I accidentally changed a setting and didn't realize it till down the road a bit. Just recently I inadvertently changed the ISO to 128,000 (not paying enough attention to which dial I grabbed) and didn't catch that til I got home which is a shame because the images really aren't recoverable and they were nice ones. The one thing I would wish for is that all the lenses had the aperture setting on the lens.Other than that, I think I'm good.

Good morning!
I had the same issue as to buy the Fuji X-T1 or the Sony A6300. I read everything I could find about these camera’s. Also a pro friend and all went for the great Fuji lens, the history of Fuji in APC-S, and the controls easily where you want it.
I went for the X-T1, and about 6 months later bought the X-T2 and love it!!
The X-T1 is a very good camera; but the X-T2 is a great one. Very good feel to it, and has been a great camera to learn from! I never had any reservation that I didn’t buy the Sony.
BTW, Fuji recently came out with the X-H1 -name? But read its a better video camera and other stuff I presume. Its now the top of the X-T2 & X-Pro2 lines.
Good luck! Either way can’t really go wrong!

I totally agree with your findings! Had similar issues with controls moving and remembering about the little M-S-C control on the bottom lower front of the camera.
Sounds like your moving along just fine, and learning what can & cannot be done.
Sometimes I wonder if a DSLR is the way to go? But they are big & heavy! Nothing is perfect!! Lol
