That's an unusual image randomeyes, and nice to see you posting in FYC.
I'd join Linda in removing the blue thing but, otherwise, like it the way it is - especially in the download.

Thanks

Select some of the image to the right of the "blob". Make a new layer, drag it to the left and add a black layer mask. Paint out the "gray blob" using a white brush. Small file size makes this a bit more difficult.

Yup!

Boy! Talk about inspiration ....... this would be fairly easy to do. I live in a town that has University fountains just about everywhere. This would make a great subject, especially with a telescopic lens to foreshorten the horizon. Well done ......... and well executed to boot.

Tree in front of water spray, not a composite

Initial impact is very strong. The tree and water spray are so well spotted and captured and processed/presented, with depth and clarity and just the right light. I am one of those not crazy about Blue Man back there, and prefer dsturr's version where he disappeared the blob and told us how (thanks!). I considered whether changing his "cloak" to black might make him more sinister and interesting but I dunno. He is your blob, so I support you keeping him, blue as ever, if you like him there. I would be inclined to "straighten" the image to get the perceived light/dark background lines more horizontal. I know these are likely not true horizons by any stretch of the imagination, but this is a quirk of mine to want such things either straight or very off kilter. And I call it a quirk for a reason, it is just my own take on things, for only what it's worth. Thanks for sharing a very interesting concept that is well executed.

All comment are welcome. I kept the blue thing because to me the grey band cuts the shot in half. Different colored neckties etc.

I just think it's really cool as is. Great concept and execution.
