Wouldn't want to tell you how many shots I have from our regular visits!
I agree with Linda that showing the other shots gives us an idea of how you came upon the notion of a silhouette in that particular environment. It add perspective to the process if that makes any sense at all.

I just love these silhouettes on here and has Linda from Main to thank for mentioning this in another thread. How amazing they all are.

Think I'm hitting the bottom of the barrel here. This shot started out life as a botched exposure. Not sure it works all that well as a silhouette. There are a lot of just plain black areas. I do like the leaves in the window. Eh, so-so I think. But it does keep the thread going!
At least you have tried and shown something, much more than what I have done (smile)!

Hope somebody is still interested in silhouettes! Here's one taken at my favourite spot (harbour wall, Lyme Regis) for people silhouettes. Don't think Ive posted previously but I may have done, it was taken in 2014.
Ah! You devil! What I mean is clever you. I just love the teenager skipping and Lyme Regis is not far from me, so I will be on the lookout next time I am there. Anymore?

Hi Heather, yes, loads and loads of these - I just can't resist every time we visit Lyme.
If you go, try standing in front of the aquarium on The Cobb, it's a good spot to take silhouettes of the wall walkers. Perhaps we'll bump into you one day!

I was there about two months ago when it was high tide, but got there a day late and only got a spray going over the Cobb. You better explain to people what The Cobb is.
I will look out for you, but don't know what you look like. You can see me on my Facebook page at Heather Iles, Somerset, Uk. (Now folks, please don't all look at once - joke).
It is good to see a thread without a cross word being mentioned. Hopefully, such folk has gone elsewhere.
Have a good day.
So many sensational shots in this thread... great work all.
My humble contribution is a couple of fellow photography students:

Very cool perspective!
Thanks Linda.
I revisited your "Dancing Aliens". I love your sense of whimsy.

With Melbourne Polytechnics Nikon D3 fitted with one third of the holy trinity of lenses in my hand, and the very slinky
Photographer, Miss M in front of me, I could not resist a spur of the moment pot shot, 1/20th second hand held, 800 ISO and
about f4... the lens by the way, was the non VR version... it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way...
You should not have encouraged me.
