I'm looking to buy the Sigma 150-600 for use on a Nikon D750. Can I get feedback from those of you who are using this lens. Thanks!

i sold my sigma 150-600 Sport and bought a Nikon 200-500 and never looked back. The Nikon 200-500 is an amazing lens. That would be my suggestion.

Looked at the 200-500, Sport, Contemporary and the original Tamron. Ended up with the Sport - it produces visibly better images than either the Contemporary, the original Tamron or the 200-500. I've only shot a couple of pics with the Tamron G2 and found it to be just as sharp as the Sport, btw.

I've been using a 600mm F4, but wanted something portable that did not require a tripod. Sample hand-held image below, shot at 600mm this past Wednesday.

I have that combination and enjoy it immensely. Take a look at some of my more recent images in the gallery. Example site: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-438621-1.html This was shot at ISO 2000.

Looks good to me! And it is even lighter than the Sport. Competitiveness among the manufacturers is a great thing - and we end up being the beneficiaries . . . gotta love it!

Thanks Gene. I appreciate your kindness. I have been advised that the Sport is sharper as you indicate.

I just picked a used sport in excellent condition for less than I would have paid for a Nikon 200. Look around you might find one.

I agree, the sport is sharper than the 200-500. Rented the Nikon ended up buying the sport.

I looked at both the sport and the contemporary and went with the latter because I can hand hold it. I have done some testing and it is the sharpest of all my lenses which include the nikon 18-200, nikon 35, Sigma 10-20, Tamron 18-270, and Tamron 60 macro. I know these lenses don't measure up to the Sigma Art line or the Nikon full frame Pro models but the Sigma Contemporary isn't to shabby.

I use the sigma 150-600 C on my d7200 and love it. The only complaint I have is not being able to use it as much as I would like. Look on you tube for videos about it.

I am using the Sigma 150-600 Contemporary on my Canon 7D MKII with superb results. A very fine lens IMO.

I own this lens for a Nikon mount. (D750) I have shot high school girls softball and had good success. I think it might not preform that well with a faster sport. I have used it for landscapes and am very happy with it. I dropped it the first day I had it and broke it in half. Contacted it and Sigma told me the repair was $350.00. When it was a returned there was a note saying my card wasn't charged. They said the lens looked brand new (It was) and Sigma wanted me to have a good experience with it. They stated if it happened again they would have to charge me. WOW I thought what company does that? I guess Sigma does.
