Here are some images from snowy Feb 2, 2017. This morning the temperature is 31 degrees -- below zero! Want to trade?

Autofocus is terrible in this much falling snow. I had to go to manual focus. If the subject is still, the best way to manually focus in this snow is to use live view and magnify the face by 10x.

Great pictures. What is a bear doing awake during winter?

You should be proud. Often the nicest images are taken under the most difficult conditions. Well done.

They feed them at the Discovery Center, so they don't bother to sleep all winter.

The only way I'd think about it is if I were guaranteed to get sensational shots like yours John...what an amazing series!!!

Awesome! There is something about wolves I never tire of seeing.

You always get plenty of fine shots on a Yellowstone photo tour. And it isn't that tough. We use 13-passenger snowcoaches now, but only put 9 clients in the vehicle to provide some extra room for gear.

John,

I love those shots in the snow and especially the snow covered Bison, and white backgrounds of the wolves with the carcass. Well done. But where, in Yellowstone, is the Discovery Center? I've been there few times, and don't recall such a place.
Thanks,

Bob
