An adult and two juvenile black skimmers were operating in the marsh pond.
But who comes up with the fish?!?
Yes, it's the older and more experienced adult that gets a meal, while the youngsters have to be content to tag along.

I'm sure this is a learning experience for them as they are acquiring skills and knowledge to catch fish on their own.

Wow, these are wonderful! I'm always amazed at your timing. Does your wife ever get to see you?

Thanks! She is usually standing next to me often taking pics herself.
Here's a skimmer shot she did. Think she's any good? :-D

Oh, she's good Gator.

Happy birthday a few hours late. If it is wife's birthday too .... then wishes to her also.

I am so envious of your two! Same birthdays, same love for the hobby. I'm stuck in this office.

But, I do have a great husband that indulges my hobbies.

May you share this love forever.

PS, she's darn good!

Thanks very much for the kind words tk!

We have a ton of pics taken by my wife. I would encourage her to start her own membership here but that would just be more work for me as I have to edit all her shots. 8-) :-D

Careful, she's standing behind you!

Oh, and don't feel sorry for me husband. The man has more hobbies that this site has photographers. And he is good at all of them!

Another fine effort. (Mrs SG, too) I just love the Skimmers. We have them up here, also. I have plenty of pictures of them with fish but they are never that large. The fish always seem to be like little minnows. Interesting!

I've never seen these birds before. Your images make it a wonderful way to be educated.
It's great that you and your wife are sharing such a wonderful hobby.
My husband is interested in photography too, but he likes photographing dead trees and small things while I love photographing people, nature and landscapes.
