Zoo Trip King of the Beasts

Saturday the 14th of January visited the Brookfield Zoo and the Lion was on his exhibit, had watched a view YouTube videos on processing Zoo pictures as "Fine Art' these are a few of my attempts.
Any and all comments, and suggestions woud be appreciated.
#1 specs 1/1250 f8, ISO 5000, Nikon D7100 with 80-400mm
#2 specs 1/800 f7.1 ISO 5000, Nikon D7100 with 80-400mm
#3 specs 1/800 f9, ISO 5000, Nikon D7100 with 80-400mm

Homer - these wonderful pics are not, as you say, "attempts". They are first (top) class. They brought a lump to my throat. You have portrayed the King of Beasts in portrait mode and totally captured his majesty. Del.

Del, thank you so much for the kind words, I was amazed at the change to the photo when applied the settings.

Beautiful. I have the same camera. I have-not shot at the higher setting that you have used will try. We have both the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park here in San Diego. In the Safari Park many of the hoof stock run free. So lots to shoot.

Although they are all wonderful, the first is my fave. I find the creases in the rocks distracting. Frame and hang the first one.
