Why me? I've never accidentally shot anyone in my life.

It was a joke. I frequently hunt and I wouldn't want him anywhere near me.

Sorry, I interpreted it as saying that the hunters would not want me around. That's probably right anyway; I shoot a shotgun about as well as I shoot a camera.

Is there a closed season on lawyers and/or law makers? Never found the answer to that!

Hi UHH,

I have been invited to Southern Georgia to photograph a duck (quail) hunt ... any tips would be greatly appreciated. Best lens and so on .... Many Thanks!

Two different situations. When hunting quail the hunters walk and flush the birds. When hunting ducks the hunters sit in a blind and bring the ducks to them with decoys and calls.

For quail you need a lightweight camera you can hike through brush with and shoot handheld. For ducks you can set up in a blind with a tripod or monopod and heavy lens.

I hope it's this year...., because by this time next year there won't be any ducks left(or right), since by then all hunting restrictions will have been repealed and it will be open season on everything and anything..., everyday!!!

Someone doesn't understand that hunting is controlled by the States, except when the Washington DC lawyers do something stupid like a drop a bunch of wolves in our yard and then prevent hunting them, wiping out our elk herds.

They did that with cougars around here. Bring them in Blackhawks in pairs that been spayed and neutered. To thin out the deer. It was getting where you would see them to late driving at night. Run right out in front of yuh.Think insurance company's were behind it.

Just hunt! Between the birds coming in get some shots in with the camera. I use a 70-300mm lens. When you do knock birds down and the dog starts working have fun. Good light at dawn. I attached a couple of duck hunting pics.
