I hope it's this year...., because by this time next year there won't be any ducks left(or right), since by then all hunting restrictions will have been repealed and it will be open season on everything and anything..., everyday!!!

Sigh. Everybody's a comedian today.

We have no idea what you are shooting with, but I would reccomend something like a 16 - 300 zoom, a CPL and a lens hood. With a wide range, you can capture details of the hunters and the prey.

Puts a different perspective on 'Spray and Prey'. I would expect to need the whole menagerie of lenses, and to have to change them according to circumstance. Is hunting for photo ops any different from hunting for game?

Pray that Dick Cheney is not one of the hunters.

Avoid embarrassment by learning the difference between ducks and quail before you go.

Fast shutter speed things will happen all at once.

A lens comfortable to carry . This will be with in first 50 ft. For the action shots. 70 200 be plenty of range for your long shots

Which lens do you have?

Don't plan on relaxing on the Quail. Lol

Just remember the Federal Duck Stamp is not only just for those that go out and do the Duck Hunting, anyone like a bird watcher that goes out and does the bird photography can make the purchase of one and the purchases of the Federal Ducks go to help save land for all birds and wildlife. If you don't know about the Federal Duck at all look up the history at ndscs.org. It's a painting contest each year.
